Homeschooling
Parents and Co-Ops

Field Trip Ready helps your kids arrive prepared — and helps you
breathe a little easier.

Your homeschool field trips should feel rich and memorable, not rushed or overwhelming. Field Trip Ready prepares your children with clear, engaging explanations that bring each site to life so you can focus on learning, connection, and simply being present with your family.

You want your children to truly understand the places they’re visiting — and Field Trip Ready
equips them with that knowledge in just minutes. These videos lay the groundwork for
meaningful conversations, smoother trips, and confident learners who arrive ready to explore.

A Homeschool Tradition That Transforms Field Trips

“When my sons were young and we prepared for our first big field trips, I didn’t want them to simply show up at a historic site — I wanted them to truly understand it. So, we began creating simple, spiral-bound ‘trip notebooks’ each year. Every week, I assigned one point of interest for them to research in whatever way suited them best. Some chose books, others hunted online, and a few preferred maps or drawings. They added notes, printed pictures, and created pages that reflected what they found meaningful.

When we came together to share our discoveries, something incredible happened: each child brought a unique piece of the story. One studied the presidency of Thomas Jefferson, another the architecture of his memorial, and a younger sibling simply colored a picture of TJ. Together, their shared learning created a full understanding none of them could have built alone.

Over the years, these notebooks grew into organized travel guides filled with itineraries, maps, confirmations, and research pages — and they equipped every student to approach each trip with confidence and excitement. What began as a simple homeschool idea became one of the richest learning traditions of our family. And I want to help your family (or your homeschool group) experience the same.”
